We are excited to share some fantastic news with you: our brand-new app is now available for download on both iOS and Android! The approval process is complete and we couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce you to the enhanced features and improved functionality of our latest release. In this blog post, we will delve deeper into the details, ensuring you have all the information you need to make the most of our new app.

Getting Started with the New App (Password Reset

To begin using the new app, simply head over to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for “bluebot water.” Download and install the latest version and you’re ready to go. During your initial login, you must reset your password. This step is essential to ensure the security of your account and data.

Setting Up Your Meter Time Zones

Once you’re logged in, you must update your meter time zones within the app. This will ensure that all data recorded moving forward is accurate and aligned with your location. Please note that updating prior data is currently not supported, so it’s crucial to set the correct time zone for future readings.

What’s New

A lot has changed with this new app, and we want to ensure you have all the information you need to make the most of its features.

Individual Devices: Access detailed information and real-time data for each of your connected bluebot water devices. The previous app limit of 5 meters per group is now lifted. You can now create groups and add devices to each group individually.

Graphing Updates: Enjoy improved graphing capabilities that allow you to visualize your water usage patterns and trends effortlessly. You can use the segmented controls to view the last hour of data, the full day, the week and the entire month. Data delivery is streamlined, and we have worked on the x and y axis of each view to more accurately represent your water usage in gallons, liters and dollars.

Other graphing features include:

  • Tap on any bar in the bar chart view will display the total in gallons or liters.
  • Tap on the calendar icon to run a custom report.
  • Change the view from bar to line graph using the chart icon.
  • Switch unit type using the three dots icon in the top right corner of the graphing view, this allows you switch between liters, gallons and dollars (be sure to set your water bill up under the settings area for each meter)

Live Data View: Monitor your water consumption in real-time, empowering you to make informed decisions and identify potential issues promptly. Once your bluebot flow meter is online try the new and improved “Go Live” button to see your gallons per minute usage live! This view is useful for checking if you have leaks on premises.

Alerts: Set up personalized alerts to receive notifications when abnormal water usage is detected, or specific thresholds are reached. Our classic alerts for flow over time, gallons and dollars have been reworked and delivery time has been vastly improved. Just make sure to input your water bill under the device settings to get all the dollarize features working in the app.

Upcoming Features

While we’ve made significant improvements, there are a few features that are still in development. Budget alerts, designed to help you manage your water usage, will be available soon. Groups inside groups will be able to users soon. The long awaited away mode alert for any flow for any period of time is in development.

Sharing accounts removed:

Additionally, we have temporarily removed the sharing feature due to instability. We recommend sharing household logins until the share feature is stabilized. It’s important to note that we do not limit seats or users for login, so you can continue to share access without any concerns.
